This month, we’re celebrating two decades of saving the rain. As December’s clouds amass and release, showering Tanzania’s landscape with Nature’s blessings and abundance, we are rejoicing in the many lives water has made us a part of. We built our first tank 20 years ago, on Joseph’s home. He said, “What you have given to us, we will give to everyone” — and all this time later, that’s still our mission. Every rainy season has marked a new milestone, and every drop has helped wash in a world of change.
This story — the story of Joseph and his family, and the destiny they introduced us to — is where it all began. It’s a tale of buckets and bicycles, of belief and boulders, of how water always finds a way. It’s the heart of who we are.
